Hard Drive Recovery in Victoria

A failed hard drive can show many warning signs: clicking sounds, beeping, slow response, missing files, operating system errors, or a drive that is no longer detected. If this happens, do not keep restarting the device or running recovery software. Physical and firmware-related failures require professional handling.

PITS Data Recovery recovers data from internal and external hard drives affected by mechanical failure, bad sectors, firmware corruption, accidental formatting, deleted files, power damage, and impact damage. Each case starts with secure diagnostics, followed by a clear quote and recovery options based on the actual condition of the drive.

Common Hard Drive Data Loss Scenarios

Mechanical Failures

Hard drives contain multiple moving parts, such as the read/write head, spindle, and platters. Any of these components can fail due to wear and tear, physical damage, or manufacturing defects, resulting in data loss.

Firmware Corruption

Firmware is responsible for managing a hard drive’s basic functions. Corruption, which can be caused by malware or faulty updates, may lead the hard drive to malfunction, rendering data inaccessible.

Logical Errors

Issues like corrupted file systems, bad sectors, or lost partitions can make data inaccessible. These problems often arise from software bugs, improper shutdowns, or power failures.

RAID Data Recovery in Victoria

RAID failure can put business operations at risk, especially when servers, NAS systems, databases, or shared file storage become unavailable. PITS Data Recovery provides RAID data recovery services in Victoria for failed rebuilds, multiple drive failures, controller problems, corrupted volumes, deleted partitions, and degraded arrays.

We recover data from RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 5, RAID 6, RAID 10, NAS, SAN, and server environments. Our process focuses on safe drive imaging, array reconstruction, file system repair, and verified data extraction, giving IT teams and business owners a controlled path forward when storage systems fail.

Common RAID Failure Scenarios

Multiple Drive Failure

If more than one drive fails in a RAID array, data recovery becomes significantly more challenging.

Controller Failure

RAID controllers manage data flow, and a failure can lead to data loss.

Configuration Error

Incorrect configurations may cause faulty parity calculations, resulting in data corruption.

Power Surges

Surges or outages can damage RAID drives, making data inaccessible.

I did a lot of research before I chose PITS Global, and I am so glad I did!! Zack kept me informed throughout the whole process & even let me send an external hard drive that I had already purchased to put my recovered data on so that I wouldn’t be charged for another. Their prices are competitive & actually lower than other data recovery places that I researched. Most importantly, they were able to recover ALL my data, so they not only saved my photos, videos & music, but my precious memories as well, which are priceless to me. I will definitely be recommending them to anyone & everyone I know! Thanks guys for saving this Hulk!!

Customer service (Emma) was extremely kind and helpful, especially the virtual call for the review. Price was fair and was able to get a 100% recovery of my files (all the ones I cared about were family pictures from the last 25 years).

My RAID system failed many years ago, and I thought everything was gone forever. Back when it happened, I got a quote from another company, and it was so astronomically expensive that I thought I’d never be able to do it. Then, recently, I moved, and I was reminded of all that I lost, and so I contacted PITS. Amazingly, about a decade after the drives failed, they were able to recover 100% of the data, and at a much more reasonable price! It’s not cheap, but at least it was an amount I could make work, and I really can’t describe how it felt to look at all the pictures and videos that I thought were lost forever. My baby pictures, my daughter’s baby pictures, so many memories, and I had no backup. I will also say that I know I was a bit of a pain-in-the-neck customer at times, but throughout the process they were really amazing to work with–always professional and helpful, not to mention flexible. I’m glad I found them and decided to work with them. It was a very positive experience.
